Brian & Lisa Sabo Profile

Brian, Lisa and Morgan Sabo

Brian & Lisa Sabo, Emeralds

Brian and Lisa Sabo are a living a classic love story. While growing up on the same street in Southern California both had become interested in riding horses. This common interest led them to train at the same barn and pursue their passion for the Olympic sport of Eventing or “Equestrian Triathlon”. After years of training together and competing from coast to coast each went their separate ways. Brian moved and bought land with the plan of starting an equestrian center. Lisa left to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to pursue her education. Realizing how much they missed being together they began dating and eventually married.

Successful riders, trainers, coaches and now a couple, Brian and Lisa Sabo were following both their dreams and their passion. It seemed the perfect situation. Beautiful barns, oak studded hills, pastures, arenas, and a growing list of successful horses and riders. Brian taught, coached and rode while Lisa an athlete at the elite level trained both horses and riders while continuing to compete at the highest level. Building a world-class equestrian center was an exciting goal.
However, it soon became clear that owning a business that existed based on their personal skills, talents and hard work came with a built in challenge. As owners, Brian and Lisa found themselves working many more hours than they had ever anticipated. It seemed that each year the rapid growth of their business and the daily requirements of the property required more and more time and effort. Even adding more employees seemed to create a greater time commitment. When their son Morgan was born their thoughts began looking to the future. It was at this point that they began exploring ways of diversifying financially. Clearly, continuing exclusively on the same path would continue to provide an excellent income. However, because that income was based primarily on their own time and talents they would never really have the freedom they wanted. This realization came as a bit of a shock. Upon seeing the Amway Global/Quixtar business opportunity they both realized that their dream of freedom could be achieved. Finally, by working with an experienced business team they could build financial independence while still keeping the careers they enjoyed.
Quickly adopting the role of “students” Brian and Lisa’s new business grew rapidly. Both credit the “Team” and the guidance of their mentors in the GlobalNET system. Reaching the Emerald level and the financial opportunities this provided opened their eyes to a whole world of choices in their lives. Lisa says “We were working so hard in our traditional business we never realized how many cool things you could do with your family when the relationship between time and income was restructured”. These new perspectives led them to buy a home on beautiful Lido Isle in Newport Beach. “We wanted to see what the beach lifestyle was like…surf, sand, boats, and restaurants. We have a goal to eat at every restaurant in Newport Beach that has a dock! We invite friends, hop aboard our boat for a sunset cruise then arrive for our dinner reservations. With so many great spots in Newport it will take us awhile to visit them all!” Of course they still enjoy the fun of helping others with their riding. Both ride, teach and clinic locally and nationally. Brian says “I suppose we will always be involved with the equestrian community. After all, it has always been our passion.”
The experience Brian and Lisa have had they now happily share with others. “We feel a need to help others see the value in having their choices freed from the limitations of money or perhaps more importantly… time.”
