Jim & Cynthia Rogers - Q12 Platinums • PROFILE, cont.

   Since 1993, Dr. Rogers had been a key consultant to Hughes Aircraft Company, Raytheon Systems Company, and the Boeing Company. He and his wife, Cynthia, are the founders and sole owners of Imperial Construction and Engineering Company, Inc., an electro-optical consulting company. His most recent work has involved employing optical coatings and advanced optical materials for thermal control of very-high-power spacecraft and their payloads. This work has utilized his expertise in advanced optical systems, components for space-based systems, spacecraft power generation, thermal control and optical sensors.
   Dr. Rogers has been responsible or a key engineer for state-of-the-art systems that flew on numerous NASA and Department of Defense spacecraft. These include the Surveyor Spacecraft Camera; the Lunar Module Optical Rendezvous System; analysis of the Surveyor Spacecraft Camera returned from the Moon by Apollo 12; commercial space programs; ship, ground and airborne optical sensor programs; space-based remote sensing systems; National Security Space Programs; and military fire control systems.
   Dr. Rogers has authored twelve papers and holds three patents in the fields of spacecraft power generation, spacecraft thermal control and space-based optical systems. He has studied at MIT, the University of California at Berkeley, and at the University of California at Los Angeles. At UCLA he received a joint Ph.D. in Engineering and Physics.
   Jim’s favorite quote is, “Never, never, never….NEVER QUIT”, by Sir Winston Churchill.
  While Cynthia’s chief focus was that of being a housewife and Mother she found time to study art and photography at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA. During these studies, she developed a unique form of creative, fine-art photography. Her work has been published in a text book on figure drawing. She helped establish a photography school, darkroom, and gallery. This included the printing of large color and black & white photographs for the gallery. During this time she participated in photographing and printing those photos for the American Archery Team at the Olympics held in Los Angeles.
   Cynthia has a strong interest in hand-writing analysis and is certified by the International Graphoanalysis Society.
   Jim and Cynthia live on 300 acres in Oregon with their two children and their families. They both believe that this, their biggest dream, is possible because of their participation in a Quixtar-powered business.
